Take a look behind the scenes and discover how the Omega-Skinz filmset was built,
from first sketches to a full-scale industrial studio, crafted entirely by hand.
Building the Filmset
Creating the Omega-Skinz filmset was a project that pushed creativity, engineering and craftsmanship to the limit. What began as a series of sketches and technical drawings evolved into a full-scale cinematic environment, entirely built by hand at the SOTT Automotive facility in Belgium.
Every component of the set — from the robotic arms to the concrete wall panels and industrial floor plates — was constructed as a real physical object. No lightweight props, no illusions. Everything was designed to look and feel like a functional launch platform from the Omega-Skinz universe.
From Concept to Construction
The process started with detailed design studies: sketches, scale models and blueprint-style drawings that explored proportions, mechanics and lighting angles. Once the final concept was approved, the team began shaping the massive structures out of MDF, metal and engineered materials.
Every large element was cut, assembled and reinforced in the workshop. The industrial pistons, cable mounts, mechanical joints and heavy brackets were all fabricated or sculpted to match the rugged look of Omega-Skinz machinery.
Full-Scale Assembly
After the individual parts were completed, the entire set was assembled inside a dedicated industrial hall.
Here, the structures were aligned, bolted together and installed around a central turntable — the same platform you see in every Omega-Skinz colour presentation.
The walls were fitted with textured panels, metallic coatings, hazard markings and weathered finishes to achieve the iconic Omega-Skinz atmosphere.
Painting, Detailing and Final Effects
The final stage involved applying the visual identity:
metallic paint layers, distressing effects, hazard stripes, stencilled markings, rivets, bolts and lighting integration.
Each part was refined by hand to ensure the set felt like a real industrial machine — not a stage prop.
What you see in the finished filmset is the result of countless hours of design, craftsmanship and precision work.
A Real Structure — Not CGI
Because the set is built at full size, every colour reveal and every film you watch is recorded exactly as it looks.
The reflections, the shadows and the atmosphere are all real, captured directly through the camera lens.
This is what gives Omega-Skinz presentations their unmistakable authenticity.
